This meeting served as a follow-up to previous sessions to transition into discussion and deliberation regarding potential recommendations for public safety in Ohio State Parks, specifically focusing on EMS responses. Key discussions included the presentation of EMS run data from 2023 to 2024 for select parks, analyzed using the MSER repository via a proxy method based on street address and keywords. The data covered the number of runs, responding agencies, and median response times (dispatch to scene and dispatch to patient). It was noted that the data only includes runs resulting in EMS transport. Further discussion involved regional resource management and allocation, referencing Ohio EMA and the Ohio Fire Chief State Emergency Response System, along with relevant Ohio Revised Codes.
