The meeting addressed revisions to the policy regarding relations with district charter schools, cancellation of the Regular Biennial School Election, and a change to the School Board Schedule due to caucuses. Approvals were granted for the Waterford Pilot/Research Site Agreement, the School Year Safety Manual, and the purchase of a vehicle for Exceptional Student Services. The board also approved consent agenda items, including accounts payable, payroll, financial reports, and personnel items.

The Board of Education meeting included presentations and discussions on various topics. The board approved gifts, revisions on policies related to grading/assessment systems, federally mandated family and medical leave, and a mediation MOU. They also discussed and approved a bond loan and a 140-day contract. Additionally, there was a presentation on revisions to policies concerning administering medicines to students, health and family life/sex education, and the distribution/posting of non-curricular materials, along with a financial summary.

The board meeting included a presentation of donations to Pleasant View Middle School and Pueblo County High School. There were discussions regarding a trip for Pueblo West High School HOSA to Houston, TX, and a trip for Pleasant View Middle School TSA to Orlando, FL, as well as a trip to Washington D.C. and New York City. The board also discussed tentative agreements between PCEA and Pueblo County School District 70, revisions to job descriptions, the transition to UFLI, revisions to Policy AEA and JLCD-E, and a bond project update. The meeting included discussions on a request for a resolution regarding truancy policies, an instructional update on the IB Program at Liberty Point International, and concerns about a marijuana dispensary and hemp farm near district schools. The board also discussed CTE training, student projects, and creative scheduling at Vineland Middle School, as well as a visit to the Capitol. Additionally, there was a presentation on leftover ingredients from the school's salad bar/gardening program.

The board covered several topics including approving the agenda, convening to executive session to discuss property, legal advice, confidential matters, personnel matters and student personnel. They also discussed 2020-2021 Board Dues and Fees, Financial Update, Bond Update, gifts to The Arts Academy, TAA Scholarships, graduation ceremonies, Board Meeting Schedule and Board Dues and Fees for 2020-2021, June 2020 Payroll, May 2020 Financial Reports, personnel items, student suspensions and expulsions.
