Additionally, the purchase of a 500X Sweeper from Tymco, Inc. was authorized.
The council meeting included a public hearing for a liquor license recommendation for Motown's Pizza. The council also discussed and authorized agreements with Sky Lakes Medical Center for a Hospital Resource Officer, the State of Oregon for utilization of the Disadvantaged Business Enterprise Unified Certification Program, and the National Guard Bureau for the Repair Aircraft Maintenance Unit B216 and the F35 Operations and Maintenance Facility. Additionally, there were discussions regarding blighted properties and upcoming events.
The council meeting included discussions on safety downtown during the public comment session. The council authorized additional consultant services for the Arthur and Alva Water Main Replacement Project, the purchase of a John Deere compact excavator, and the purchase of Ford Interceptor and Explorer vehicles. A goods and services contract with Day Wireless was authorized to upfit the Ford vehicles. Additionally, a special ordinance vacating a portion of Almond Street right-of-way was adopted. The Mayor and Councilors also shared information regarding the League of Oregon Cities Conference.
