The meeting included a welcome and opening remarks, swearing in and acknowledgement of the committee formation, election of officers (Chair, Vice Chair, Secretary), purpose and charge of the CRC, introduction of staff and supporting personnel, orientation session, committee planning and calendar, review of proposed work plan and timeline, member Q&A/open discussion. Mandy Phillips resigned as CRC Chair, and Carleton Maxwell moved into the Interim CRC Chair. The next meeting was scheduled for June 12, 2025.

The board meeting included an executive session to discuss employment separations, administrative and certified employment recommendations, student homeschool requests and transfers, negotiations of contractual matters, and receipt of legal advice. The board approved recommendations for resignations, retirements, terminations, certified employment, working retirees employment, student transfers and homeschool requests. The board also extended the contract for ProKitchen and Singer T & L. The class from Brooklyn Springs Elementary shared Christmas Carols and Lancaster High School was recognized for 100 years of accreditation. The board reviewed monthly financial reports, a revision to Board Policy- GBRIB/GCRGB-Professional/ClassifiedStaff Leaves and Absences, Administrative Rule for Board Policy JB/JBA---Student Attendance. The Communications Department, Safety and Transportation, Facilities, and Student Services gave highlights. An update was given on the SCSBA Delegate Assembly and the State Cell Phone Policy.

The board meeting included an executive session to discuss employment separations, administrative, certified, and non-certified employment recommendations, proposed contractual matters, foreign exchange student transfers, student transfers, receipt of legal advice, planning of the Superintendent's evaluation, and the Superintendent's six-month evaluation. The board also discussed dress code concerns, aligning the curriculum with The Science of Reading, monthly financial reports, ESSER funds, Impact Fee reports, Student Activity LGIP report, and updates on buses for Southside Early Childhood Center. Additionally, the board reviewed and approved the second reading of Board Policy GBRIB/GCRGB-Professional/Classified Leaves and Absences, Board Policy JBCF- Use of Life Saving Medications, LCSD/USCL Dual Enrollment/Dual Credit Courses, and set the Regular Board Meeting date for July 2024.
