This document outlines three proposed instructional calendar options for the 2025-2026 Academic Year, for which community feedback is being requested. These options, developed by various focus groups and committees, all adhere to 187 teacher contract days and incorporate features such as breaks throughout the year (including fall, Thanksgiving, winter, and spring), dedicated time for teacher professional learning and planning, and compliance with Texas Education Agency operational minutes requirements. Each calendar aims to conclude the first semester before the winter break and the school year in May.

The public feedback meeting focused on the boundary change process for the opening of Ferndell Henry Elementary School. Key discussion topics included the role of the School Boundary Advisory Committee, the demographic study and forecasting conducted to manage campus enrollment, and the application of policy FC local in determining new school boundaries. The presentation detailed two boundary scenarios aimed at minimizing overutilization at Heritage Rose Elementary School by reassigning certain neighborhoods to Ferndell Henry Elementary School. The meeting also emphasized the community's role in providing feedback through an online survey and explained the criteria used in the boundary planning process.

Fort Bend ISD is undertaking long-range boundary planning as a strategic multi-year process. The plan aims to balance student enrollment across the district, efficiently utilize facilities, and focus resources on student achievement. Key objectives include addressing areas of growth, decline, and stabilization; optimizing classroom space through boundary adjustments or school consolidation; and reducing the need for temporary structures. The initiative emphasizes ensuring every student has access to high-quality education and aims to improve operational efficiency through a collaborative process involving parents, staff, and community members.

The council meeting focused on the Child Nutrition department and the See to Succeed vision program. Key discussions included the importance of vision health for academic success, the history and current scope of the See to Succeed program, and the process for identifying and providing vision services to students. The council also addressed administrative updates regarding upcoming missions and volunteer recruitment for local vision clinics.

This document outlines the Whole Child Health Wellness Plan for Fort Bend Independent School District, aimed at supporting and developing the mental, behavioral, social, emotional, and physical health of all students. The plan focuses on creating a culture that inspires healthy life choices and promotes a supportive school climate. Key areas addressed include nutrition education and promotion, physical activity and education, health education, comprehensive health services, and mental and physical health services, including trauma-informed care. The initiative seeks to decrease mental health stigmas, enhance access to resources, and ensure each student is healthy, safe, engaged, supported, and challenged to achieve their full potential.
