AvailableThe City of New Orleans Department of Parks and Parkways issued an RFQ titled "Reforestation Implementation" to restore and expand the urban tree canopy using HUD CDBG-DR funding following Hurricane Ida. The work includes community outreach, landscape design and planting plans for approximately 1,500 trees, removal of ~3,000 square yards of concrete, site surveys, permitting, and preparation of stamped landscape/construction documents for planting on public rights-of-way and publicly-owned lots. The contract period runs from award until December 2027 and requires a Louisiana Licensed Landscape Architect on the team and a DBE participation goal of 35%.
