Requirement to procure a quantity of one (1) Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) in support of the Machinery Research, Logistics & Ship Integrity Department. The SEM will be utilized for metallographic analysis and imaging. The features and capabilities of the equipment are as follows: Physical Requirements: The SEM shall be equipped with a Schottky Emitter (SE) field emission (FE) electron gun. The SEM shall be equipped with both secondary electron (SE) and backscatter electron (BSE) detectors. The SEM shall have a chamber that will accommodate at least a 300mm wide specimen. The SEM shall be equipped with an integrated energy dispersive spectroscopy (EDS) system. See attached file.
