HDOT solicits construction bids for Mamalahoa Highway drainage improvements (clean/replace covered drainage grates and frames; install grated drop inlet frames, shallow drain sumps, injection drywells; asphalt curbs; reflector markers; reinforced concrete pipe; grouted rubble paving; concrete gutters; repave asphalt; relocate traffic sign posts). Estimated construction cost $2.5M–$5M. Bidders must register and submit proposals via HIePRO and possess a valid State of Hawaii General Engineering "A" license at time of bidding. A 5% apprenticeship bid adjustment is applicable and at least 80% of the project workforce must be Hawaii residents.
