AvailableA state agency charged with protecting Georgia's air, land, and water resources through the authority of state and federal environmental statutes. These laws regulate public and private facilities in the areas of air quality, water quality, hazardous waste, water supply, solid waste, surface mining, underground storage tanks, and others. EPD issues and enforces all state permits in these areas and has full delegation for federal environmental permits except Section 404 (wetland) permits. The Permitting and Compliance System provided by the Supplier must be a secure and reliable Software-as-a-Service solution. Per the contract, the EPD has defined SaaS as “Software as a Service” (SaaS), the capability to use the Supplier's applications running on the Supplier's infrastructure (commonly referred to as cloud infrastructure). The applications are accessible from various client devices through a client interface such as a Web browser (e.g., Web-based email) or a program interface. The State does not manage or control the underlying cloud infrastructure, servers, operating systems, storage, or even individual application capabilities, with the possible exception of limited user-specific application configuration settings.
