This Contract is for the replacement of 26 existing prefabricated traction power substations. The replacement work includes removal of the existing prefabricated type substation enclosures, and design, fabrication, factory testing, delivery, installation, field testing acceptance testing and commissioning for new 2 MW prefabricated-type traction power substations. The work also includes the addition of 750 Vdc pad-mounted load-break disconnect switches and modifications to existing 750 Vdc duct bank and cable systems to interface the new substations and load-break switches with the existing 750 Vdc power distribution systems at all 28 prefabricated Substation locations.

Construction and installation of new property line boxes, ducts, removal and replacement of positive and negative cabling, as well as various repairs of structural and architectural elements will also be performed. Environmental abatement (including asbestos) is also part of this Project.
