1. Work in partnership with the office of youth services to coordinate the expansion safe places under act 297 (slh 2025) safe spaces for youth program and hrs 352d-7. This includes conducting monthly meetings with and providing quarterly reports to the office of youth services on safe place project activities and outcomes. 2. Develop and maintain positive working relationships with government and community partners and establish safe places for youth across the state. 4. Develop a safe place implementation plan that includes safe places and youth crisis centers and outlines goals, activities and timelines. 5. Develop a budget for the implementation of the plan. 6. Maintain existing safe place sites and recruit and train new sites. 7. Respond to calls from safe place sites and the text-4-help system. Provide crisis response, safety assessments, emergency shelter, and linkage to resources for all youth who access the hawaii safe place system. 8. Coordinate and provide safe place outreach and training to government and community partners as needed, in addition to providing program advocacy and outreach for program awareness and participation to youth and young adults. 9. Provide ongoing assessment and training to safe place sites. 10. Design, create, and disseminate a locally produced safe place psa and provide advocacy for its broadcast. 11. Provide technical support to potential and planned safe place agencies to obtain their safe place designation. 12. Provide technical support to the office of youth services to develop and implement an integrated safe place, safe spaces and youth crisis center vision.
