The BPA(s) established will cover all commissary resale items including, but not limited to, the following categories: Food and Beverage Products: Shelf-stable foods, snacks, candy, coffee, and beverages. Vendors must provide Halal-certified, Kosher, and Passover-approved foods, along with other items necessary to support religious dietary observances. An ample supply of healthy food options must be maintained. Vendors may need to coordinate with local vendors to supply perishable items such as ice cream. An ample supply of religious food items must be maintained and made available for special order during religious holidays (e.g., Passover, Ramadan, Lent, etc.), ensuring all inmates can meet dietary requirements consistent with their faith.
