The UNC System Office (Design/Construction) has issued a solicitation for the design and construction of an Education Boardwalk and attached research pier at the Coastal Studies Institute to improve accessibility and educational/research facilities. The project includes design of an ADA-accessible raised boardwalk (~1,500 linear feet), outdoor classrooms, observation platforms, and an attached research pier with shoreline access. The period of performance is expected to begin on award and complete by January 14, 2026; estimated project value is between $500,000 and $2,000,000.
