The Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) issued Special Notice VLS007 to pursue a sole-source contract action to BAE Land & Armaments L.P. to provide mechanical design agent support for the MK 41 Vertical Launching System (VLS). The action will add an additional one year of requirements and is being processed as a sole-source procurement under FAR 6.302-1. The Department of the Navy (Naval Surface Warfare Center, Philadelphia Division) is seeking repair services for Littoral Combat Ship (LCS) 2-class waterjet and impeller shaft assemblies. The government intends to procure these repair services via other than full and open competition, citing a sole-source justification (FAR 6.302-1) and identifying Defense Maritime Solutions (DMS) as the intended sole-source developer/producer. Responses (this RFI) are limited to five pages (excl. cover page) and must be submitted electronically to William J. Ryan by 04:00 PM EST on December 16, 2025.
