Sealed-bid public works construction for the I-5 Port of Tacoma Road Interchange Phase 2A: reconstruct northbound off-ramp and on-ramp to new intersections, construct a new bridge on 34th Avenue East over I-5, and extend the waterline across the new bridge. Federal-aid highway project with a 13% FSBE goal; standard bid bond and submittal requirements apply.

Reconstructs the existing northbound off ramp and on ramp to connect to new intersections with Port of Tacoma Road and 34th Avenue East. The Phase 2A project also adds a new bridge on 34th Avenue East over I-5 northbound and southbound. The existing waterline along 34th Avenue East will be extended across the new bridge structure and over I-5 as part of the project includes 38,831 SY removing asphalt conc. pavement, 57,564 CY gravel borrow incl. haul, 1,057 LF underdrain pipe 6" diam., 10,390 LF testing storm sewer pipe, 126 LF CL. III reinf. conc. storm sewer pipe 24" diam., 3,255 LF schedule A storm sewer pipe 12" diam., 3,671 LF ductile iron storm sewer pipe 12" diam.

Remove and dispose of existing sewer manhole and replace with a new precast manhole. Work includes: Temp sewage bypass; removal and replacement of approx. 31 LF 12" sewer main and approx. 13 LF of 10" sewer lateral pipe; selective demolition; TESC; and site restoration. Base bid: All work excluding manhole base support systems to prevent settling. Additive: Two alternative support systems - Precast sled and pin pile support systems includes 42 LF remove existing sewer main 10-12" dia pipe, 1 EA manhole 60" diam. type 1, 1 LS temporary sewage bypass pumping, 13 LF PVC sanitary sewer pipe 10" diam., 31 LF DI sanitary sewer pipe 12" diam., 21 LF extruded curb, 250 LF 5 4" schedule 40 galvanized pin piles, 1 LS pin pile cap, 1 EA 96" diameter manhole base concrete sled.
