Township Auditor. The Township Auditor shall perform such duties as are prescribed by general law and local ordinance. In addition, subject to the approval of the Mayor and Council, the Township Auditor shall: a. Prepare or cause to prepare annual financial statements, audits, annual debt statements and state budget documents. b. Provide technical and financial advice and assistance to town officials as need. c. Maintain all papers, documents, memoranda, reports and other materials relating to the financial records of the Township as property of the Township. d. Assist the Mayor and Council, the Chief Municipal Financial Officer (CMFO) and Bond Counsel in the decision to issue instruments of indebtness and assist in the preparation and process of issuing or selling such instruments. e. Attend all meetings of the Mayor and Council as requested. f. Provide planning and general advice as requested by the Mayor and Council, the Administrator or the CMFO.

The auditor may be requested to do any other accounting or auditing service, as may be requested by the township.
