The CBS interfaces with the Commerce Acquisition System (CACI’s C.Suite COTS product), the National Finance Center (NFC) Payroll System, and the Automated Standard Application for Payments (ASAP). The CFS is a customized Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) application, providing financial management and accounting capabilities for DOC bureaus. The Department is currently modernizing the financial, acquisition and property systems through the Business Applications Solution (BAS) project, with the final bureau scheduled for deployment in October 2026. After this deployment, CBS will be decommissioned.
