Seeking one or more qualified professional engineering services for the design of the lower harris creek interceptor. This project will replace and parallel approximately 21,495 linear feet of sanitary sewer with new 30" pipe to increase capacity, reduce the risk of sewer surcharge, and address needed repairs. Services will also include the following:. Expediated preliminary engineering services (ideally less than 6 months); 1. Wetland, stream, and buffer delineation & permitting; 2. Geotechnical evaluation; 3. Subsurface utility exploration; 4. Design and permitting of sewer interceptor; 5. Traffic control plan; 6. Easement plat preparation and recordation; 7. Bid phase services; 8. Select construction administration services and inspection; 9. As-built survey and plans.

Washington Avenue safety improvements project shall follow a two-step process, with Step 1 being the pre-qualification phase and Step 2 being the bidding phase. Only Contractors deemed qualified by the City during Step 1 will be allowed to submit a bid under Step 2.

The proposed project includes the cured-in-place pipe (CIPP) lining rehabilitation of approx. 2,744 LF of 42” sewer pipes along the Lower Mill River Interceptor.
City of Carmel
The project may include improvements to the existing roads, drainage system, water distribution system and sanitary sewer collection system, including the construction of three new roundabouts. Sanitary sewer replacement, storm sewers, watermain replacement and installation of new watermain.
