Large Water Meter Replacement Program - (RFP)

Scope of work under this contract includes the replacement of ten (10) large user meters. This scope involves comprehensive meter assembly replacements, sump and piping work, electrical panel adjustments, and other required improvements to ensure the functionality and safety of the large user meters at each location. The work to be performed consists of as- needed construction services for drainage system improvements, including furnishing and installation of catch basins, frame and grate, storm water manholes, piping, plugs, french drains, exfiltration trenches, tidal valves, swales regrades, retention area, pipe lining, pervious pavements and appurtenances.

City of Aiken

The Work generally consists of the replacement of select large water meters (2" and larger) at locations throughout the City. Provide assemblies for 2" and 4" meters as shown on the plans, using the meter type indicated; match flange and connection standards and laying lengths to the manufacturer and City details. Provide a full-size bypass loop matching the service size (2" or 4") with OS&Y isolation at the bypass inlet and outlet and a normally closed bypass valve, including a bypass test port per City detail. Install OS&Y isolation valves (or resilient-seated gate where allowed) on the meter inlet and outlet; valves shall permit throttling during testing and ball valves are not permitted for primary isolation. Install an inlet Y-strainer with blow-off ahead of compound or turbine meters and provide upstream and downstream test ports per City detail.

Cleary Water Sewer And Fire Protection District

Construction of 2025 water meter replacement replace all existing water meters aling with meter boxes, meter box tops, and curb stops as necessary. Also includes software and setup, software training, and other incidental items necessary to complete work and have a fully functionable ami meter reading system.
