Labor Counsel (RFP)

Labor Counsel shall: A. Represent the City in all legal matters and shall advise and assist City Council and Administrator as directed by the City Counsel. B. Attend meetings of City Council as needed and give opinions as requested by the Council members or the City Administrator and CFO/Deputy Administrator. C. Assist in the negotiation of labor agreements, and proceedings or disputes arising out of or in connection therewith including disciplinary actions, appeals, mediations and arbitrations. D. Represent the City in any litigation, and conduct trials, appeals and other proceedings involving labor disputes at the direction of the City Council. E. Investigate complaints of labor issues as directed by the City Council.
