City of Shaker Heights

Provide professional cost estimating services on an as-needed basis. Assist the city with the preparation, review, and defense of cost estimates associated with property maintenance and building code violations. Development of cost estimating tool: the city is in the process of creating a cost estimating tool that will include unit costs for the correction of standard housing code violations. The consultant will aide in providing and reviewing unit costs used in the cost estimating tool. Developing cost estimates as needed for correction of complex violations: the consultant will be called upon from time to time, via email, to provide a ball park cost estimate to correct specific complex violations. Delaware Department of Transportation

The purpose of acquiring proposals from interested firms to provide services for which the consultant is assigned several tasks that mainly include serving as the independent cost estimator (ice) for upcoming construction manager/general contractor (cm/gc) projects. Additional tasks may include developing independent production-based cost estimates for projects, performing or analyzing critical path method (cpm) schedules for projects, performing constructability reviews during design, and other tasks related to cost estimating, scheduling, and constructability.
