Tapping into the existing 12" DI water main, reducing it to 6" pipe, to supply water to the new water softener system. Work includes excavating around an existing check valve vault to expose the 12-inch ductile iron water main, installing 12-inch valve onto the upstream side of the check valve, installing tie-ins for a 6" supply and a return on the 12" water main underground, penetrating through the metal building wall, and install a 6" line to the existing water softener system.
