Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife
This project proposes to remove small diameter conifer encroachment from existing oak trees to increase vigor and acorn production, protect existing stands of mature ponderosa and sugar pine trees that provide valuable wildlife habitat, and reducing decadent ceanothus stands to increase vigor and nutritive value for deer and elk, with increased new growth. Multi-stemmed madrone and canyon live oak will also be thinned.
