Township planner. The township planner's duties are not defined by the township code. Consequently, all proposals by any person or firm desiring to be of service to the township should know that the township planner assists the township committee when necessary and also serves as the planner for the township land development board.

Township of Eastampton
Township planner: The Township Planner shall either be a member of or employed by a firm of a Professional Planner licensed in the State of New Jersey with at least eight (8) years’ experience all aspects of municipal planning including extensive work with and knowledge of the MLUL, COAH and consulting with respect to drafting, and revising Master Plans, COAH Housing Elements and Fair Share Plans, Redevelopment Planning, and Strategic and Functional Land Use Planning.
Township of Florence
Township Planner shall be employed by a New Jersey licensed firm with at least ten (10) years of experience in all aspects of municipal planning including extensive work with and knowledge of the MLUL, COAH, and consulting with respect to, drafting, and revising Master Plans. The individual primarily assigned shall have at least five (5) years' experience as a municipal consultant or planning board planner.
