South Shore Water Reclamation Facility, Building 331 Mixed Liquor Control Valve #19

The project contemplated herein consists of the Contractor repairing the Mixed Liquor Control Valve #19. The valve is a 30” Dezurik eccentric plug valve, with an electric motor actuator. The actuator drive compartment was found to be flooded with leaking oil, and the actuator will not respond in local control. The valve can only be operated with the manual handwheel, and there is significant corrosion in the valve. The existing electric motor actuator is Part 9139457, 3000, Figure 118, F, 6, RS25, AMG, AA090. AA0090 was a Limitorque SMC-03-10, 480/60/3, NEMA 4, set up for modulating service, 4-20 ma input signal, increasing to open, Limitorque T400 gear unit. The order code is obsolete. Estimated valve torque is 9,850 foot-pounds. MMSD and Veolia are requesting a bid for repairs to Mixed Liquor Control Valve #19.
