This project will replace the existing bridge on Route 17 northbound over Dragon Run. During construction, the bridge over Dragon Run on Route 17 northbound would be closed. Northbound traffic would be diverted to cross the Route 17 southbound bridge over Dragon Run, with a single northbound and southbound travel lane sharing the southbound bridge. VDOT is replacing the existing bridge to improve the condition of the northbound Dragon Run crossing. The new bridge will be raised to an elevation similar to the Route 17 southbound bridge over Dragon Run.
