Public Defender (RFP)

Municipal Public Defender by way of a one (1) year contract ending December 31, 2026. Other attorneys or firms may be appointed by the Mayor with the advice and consent of Council for a term of one (1) year. Responsibilities of the Municipal Public Defender shall include representing indigent defendants in proceedings over which the Seaside Park Borough Court has jurisdiction, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 2B:24-6 et seq.
