Litigation Consultant (Liability) (RFP)

Litigation Consultant (Workers' Compensation): a. Assist in the evaluation and hiring of claims defense attorneys for Workers’ Compensation claims. Conduct regular meetings with defense firms to ensure compliance with Owner Litigation Guidelines and uniform application of policy positions. b. Conduct periodic reviews of defense firms’ files for Workers’ Compensation claims, with particular attention to briefs submitted on behalf of the Owner. c. Provide the Owner Claims Administrator with legal guidance where necessary, particularly in new and evolving areas of the law. This would include issuing periodic bulletins on emerging legal, regulatory or case law matters. d. Attend all Fund Commissioner meetings as scheduled.

Claims litigation invoice review services: A. Audit Program Staffing Services provided pursuant to this RFP shall performed by employees (including attorney auditors licensed to practice law in the State of New Jersey in good standing, appeals representatives, paralegals, and clerical staff). B. Bill Analysis Reports Vendor shall review legal invoices for compliance with the Owner's legal services guidelines, specific instructions in individual matters, and deviations from appropriate and customary management and billing practices.
