Work includes canal improvements.
City of Margate
Provide citywide canal bank restoration/stabilization includes a complete turnkey installation of embankment slope stabilizers as well as complete property restoration to better than existing. It is intended that the canal embankment improvements be completed using geosynthetic slope stabilization with a modular open containment system made up of two (2) layers of virgin pre-recycled (food grade) high density polyethylene (hdpe), that is constructed with a knitted pattern.
St. Charles Parish
Project is intended to clean, and strengthen where necessary, the existing drainage canal that runs adjacent to primrose drive. The existing canal has become overgrown with vegetation and has exerienced bank failures and erosion at various locations along its length. The canal will be strengthened by sheet pile walls and cleaned where applicable. In addition to the above-mentioned sheet pile work the drainage pump station near the interesection of lagatutta drive and primrose drive discharge lines will be rerouted
Onondaga County
Masonry repairs, sealant replacements, and associated building envelope and structural improvements. Masonry repairs include repointing with type n mortar, replacement of damaged brick dentils, and restoration of stone columns along erie boulevard where spalling and delamination have occurred. Sealant replace- ment will be performed at control joints, expansion joints between the historic structure and the addition, and around all windows, doors, and storefront assemblies. Wood window components will be restored, refinished, re- paired, and repainted to restore integrity and appearance. Additional work includes repairing failed sealants at eifs mural locations, updating emergency exit and safety fixtures. Structural remediation of attic joists at select locations is also included in the base bid alternate work items include mechanical unit replacement and associated hazardous materials abatement, construction of a new ADA-accessible ramp at the canal boat exhibit, replacement of the brick retaining wall surrounding the western courtyard, and structural reinforcement of the attic floor with related hazardous materials abatement. All work shall be performed in accordance with applicable codes and preservation standards to maintain the historical integrity of the canal museum.
