Summary
Position – Special Investigator IV: Contractor must have: at least five (5) years of personnel security experience specializing in scoping, reviewing and adjudicating federal BIs; and a minimum of one (1) year of experience as an investigator with a delegated, investigative service provider, providing guidance and instruction to new hires and assisting Branch management with implementation and documentation of new policies and procedures. Contractor shall: a. Apply knowledge of all implemented personnel security policies, procedures, guidelines, and standards. b. Apply knowledge of investigative coverage requirements and serve as a subject-matter expert to provide guidance to all
team members and other Division staff. c. Review other agency personnel security BIs to ensure proper/adequate investigative coverage when applying reciprocity. d. Identify issues and/or potential conflicts of interest that may have a nexus with the agency mission or position. e. Conduct reviews of ATF agency specific qualifications and/or pre-employment screening requirements. f. Write and/or review reports of investigation (ROIs), to include field investigator and/or final case closing reports. g. Apply federal suitability factors and adjudicative guidelines to investigations. See attached file.
