Qualified Proposer to deliver public-facing programming at Hummingbird Farm. The content of the programming must promote organic farming, biodiversity, drought tolerant and native plant gardening, sustainable landscaping and agriculture, pollinator gardening, low toxicity weed control, permaculture, composting, sheet mulching, soil conservation, installation and maintenance of water-efficient irrigation systems, low impact land management (e.g. bioretention), and knowledge of invasive species. The selected grantee shall accomplish these objectives by conducting educational programming on environmental stewardship and facilitating multilingual, culturally appropriate community involvement in maintaining the garden's unique features.

This initiative will begin with a landscape ecological analysis of these sites, examining their locations, proximity and connectivity, plant and pollinator communities, and surrounding land use. The findings from this analysis will inform the design of the spaces, focusing on appropriate native and climate-resilient plantings that foster biodiversity while promoting passive recreational activities through the inclusion of elements such as benches and paths where appropriate.
