For the design and construction of a high-power laser (HPL) system intended for advanced research purposes. HPL Specifications: The HPL shall utilize spectral beam combining technology to produce a continuous wave (CW), infrared output beam exceeding 10 kW, with a preferred target output of 15 kW, within the 1030 - 1080 nanometer (nm) wavelength range. The architecture should be designed to allow future scalability to approx. 30 kW through the integration of additional fiber amplifier modules and some additional beam combining optics. The HPL must include a telescopic focusing optic capable of focusing the beam over adjustable ranges between 350 meters and 1 kilometer. The beam quality, expressed as the M² value, must not exceed 1.5, with a preferred maximum of 1.3. See outside link.
