Expeditionary Fluid Analysis System (EFAS) - (RFP)

The three modules should be capable of performing the following no longer than 10 minutes per sample: 40° Celsius Viscosity Test per the ASTM D8092 perform a type of Hele-Shaw, tube, or equivalent test standard at 40°C (±2°C) to measure kinematic viscosity in centistokes (cSt) from 1 to 700cSt without assumption of sample density. 100° Celsius Viscosity Test to generate a 100°C test result by calculating the 100°C viscosity equivalent from the 40°C test using the fluid’s Viscosity Index. Total Acid Number (TAN) Test per ASTM D7889 determine the level of acidity in a fluid sample by determining the amount of Potassium Hydroxide, or equivalent, needed to neutralize one gram of sample fluid and display the results in a milligrams of Potassium Hydroxide per gram (mgKOH/g) format.
