Eagle Point Bay Drainage Enhancement Project

Seeking bids from qualified engineering contractors to complete a drainage study of the pigeon point neighborhood area resulting in a capital improvements drainage plan. This study will identify and quantify drainage infrastructure deficiencies, evaluate existing and future flooding, and develop conceptual alternatives to address identified flooding and develop a plan for implementing drainage improvements.

Mobile Bay National Estuary Program

The work includes the restoration and enhancement of an existing swale to a wet enhanced swale along 1,555 LF of ephemeral drainage. The project will include clearing, grubbing, excavation, grading, installing weir structures, installation and maintenance of erosion control, and emergent and riparian planting and landscaping. Stream level structures include concrete weirs and limited riprap. Stabilization includes temporary and permanent seeding. Planting and landscaping include installation of upland seed mixes, sod, and plugs.
