State of New York
The scope of work for the college king hall window replacement & hazmat abatement project includes, but is not limited to the following: the continuous bands of aluminum-framed windows located on the first and second floors on the font kissena boulevard side, and on the back campus side of the building will be removed and replaced with new energy efficient windows. Operable window type and configuration, and framing sizes and profile of the new window system will match the old window system to the greatest extent possible. In addition to the front and back side window replacements, replacements of punched style windows will occur on the stair tower, and on the convex second floor side elevation of the building. Abatement of all existing windows, portions of the windowsills and flashing, and interior pipe insulation affected by the new installations is included in the scope. Interior work is included in the scope. Perimeter ceiling finish in contact with the windows will be replaced with gypsum board, and solar shades are to be provided. Built in furniture, fixtures, and equipment are to be protected, and furniture removed and reinstalled where indicated. Interior partition walls impacted by the window installations will require partial demolition and repair, and affected interior walls repainted. Existing window-mounted air conditioning units will require removal and reinstallation with new brackets at locations indicated, with new interior wire molding as required for power connections. On the exterior, the underside of concrete eaves, and exposed concrete slab edges will require spall and crack repair, and a concrete protective coating applied to eaves and slab edges in their entirety. Miscellaneous repairs include exterior metal trim repair at an entrance location.
