In FY 2027 approx. $75,000 is expected to be available for community-based restoration projects. Applicants can request a minimum of $25,000 up to $75,000. Seeks high-quality, well-designed proposals that focus on community-based restoration projects with an emphasis on citizen engagement and citizen science projects that restore natural habitats or living resources in the IRL and meet criteria 1-3. Proposals that improve and expand the capacity of existing citizen engagement programs are preferred over new programs that may duplicate programs already in progress.

In FY 2027, the IRLNEP Management Conference has determined that funding priorities should focus; on the following broad topics related to science and innovative technology: Science and innovative technology that support restoration of water quality; Science and innovative technology that support restoration of habitats. Science and technology innovation and/or decrease restoration costs.
