This solicitation is open to all municipalities within the Massachusetts Buzzards Bay Watershed. However, specific projects must lie principally within or benefit water quality or habitat in the Buzzards Bay watershed (see map in Attachment C and detail on eligible applicants in section 2A).
Chesapeake Bay Trust
The watershed assistance grant program offers grants for design of watershed restoration and protection projects or planning and programmatic development projects. Design requests will be accepted for the full suite of nonpoint source best management practices (bmps), including stream restoration or other stormwater bmps. Planning and programmatic project requests may include watershed characterization, surveys, assessments, action plans, studies, program development, or financing strategies that build local capacity.
City of Cottonwood
The City is accepting applications for the fiscal year 2026 Historic Preservation Commission (HPC) Small Grant Funding Program. The purpose of the HPC Small Grant Funding Program is to provide financial assistance to help qualifying property owners improve the exterior portions of historic buildings, structures or sites that are located in the City, thus improving the overall historic character of the community.
Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation
Availability of grant funds to support the seven reservoir watershed municipalities with efforts to utilize the latest and most efficient salt use reduction strategies.
