Construction of a new Department of Water and Power (LADWP) 34.5 kV Industrial Station, new 34.5 kV switchgear, new 18 MVA transformer equipped with Automatic Load Tap Change (ALTC) to automatically adjust the necessary transformer tap changes under load, new 11 kV AMP switchgear, 2 new 11 kV wharf AMP outlets, and a 11 kV AMP mobile cable management for cruise ships connections. In addition, this Project requires the extension of a new LADWP 34.5 kV circuit through the existing LADWP underground conduit . Project also includes Berths 49 - 50 wharf structural AMP, landside structural AMP support, Berths 49 - 50 concrete wharf repairs, furnish and install hybrid fender backing panel including steel pipe piles and timber piles, new foam-filled fendering system, new utilities including water lines and sewer connections, customer requested civil improvements to improve pedestrian and vehicular access, safety, and security for the cruise customers and operations, and site removals.

Seeking proposals from qualified construction management at risk firms for the cruise terminal 10 landside improvement project. The project includes improvements to accommodate larger vessels with capacities of approximately 7,000 passengers. An expansion of the building to provide additional queueing areas, improve the passenger security screening, general (750 seats) and vip (250 seats) passenger seating, and a separate building for luggage laydown area is anticipated

Work of this 700 calendar day project consists, in general, of furnishing all labor, materials, appliances, tools, equipment, transportation, services and supervision required to eliminate the grade differential between Berths 32 and 33, including, but not limited to: excavation offhaul and disposal of the Port stockpile near seventh Street, testing and disposal of contaminated soils, construction and modifications of stormwater systems and facilities, modification and installation of high mast lighting, including underground electrical duct banks, and a unit substation, AC pavement construction including cement treated subgrade and aggregate base, placement of lightweight cellular fill within BART transbay tube zone of influence, pavements striping, fencing and K-Rail installation; and performing all associated work, all in accordance with the Contract Documents.
