Pierce County
Provide behavioral health peer recovery and support services ("peer services") throughout the county. Applicants may propose either new peer programming or the expansion of existing services. Funds awarded under this initiative must not supplant other funding sources, peer services are behavioral health supports delivered by individuals with lived experience of a behavioral health condition ("peers"). All proposed services should provide support to individuals with behavioral health struggles (both mental health and/or substance use disorders) navigating their own recovery journey. Providing behavioral health and support services for low income, homeless and/or precariously housed individuals. Service area includes: 1. Outreach, Prevention and Intervention Services to Address Domestic Violence and Resulting Trauma; 2. Promising and Evidence-based Prevention/Early Intervention for Children and Adolescents; 3. Services for a Teen Center; 4. Services for Youth Aging out of the Foster Care and/or Juvenile Justice Systems; 5. Public Health Initiative; 6. Intensive Case Management Services; 7. Supportive Housing and Case Management for Persons who have a Behavioral Health Diagnosis and are Experiencing Homelessness or are Precariously Housed; 8. Meals and Support Services for Persons Experiencing Homelessness; 9. Crisis Services to Children who have been Abused, Neglected, and Abandoned; 10. Food Distribution Services to Persons Experiencing Homelessness and/or of Low to Moderate Income; 11. Behavioral Health Services for Urban Native American Populations; 12. School-Based Substance Use Outpatient Treatment Services for Middle School-Age Youth; 13. Case Management for Persons who have a Behavioral Health Diagnosis and are Experiencing Homelessness or are Precariously Housed specific to the City/County Community Connections Supportive Housing Program.
