Alternate Prosecutor (RFP)

Alternate Prosecutor by way of a one (1) year contract ending December 31, 2026. Other attorneys or firms may be appointed by the Mayor with the advice and consent of Council for a term of one (1) year. Responsibilities of the Alternate Prosecutor shall include: Providing prosecutorial services to the Municipal Court pursuant to N.J.S.A. 2B:25-1 et seq. and the Regulations of the Administrative Office of the Courts; Representing the State of New Jersey and the Borough of Seaside Park, over which the court has jurisdiction; Attending municipal court session(s) in the event the Municipal Prosecutor is unavailable or has a conflict with a particular case; and Scheduling flexibility for any special trials, as may be required.
