Midland County
Mosquito control has primary responsibility for community-wide surveillance and control of both disease vectors and nuisance mosquitoes. This is accomplished, in part by annual aerial larviciding of as few as 30,000 and up to 63,000 acres of seasonally flooded woodlands in county. Of this total, approx 33,000 acres will be designated for granular material treatment and 30,000 acres of liquid material.
