Work includes excavation and replacement of 16" and greater transmission mains, which shall include, but not be limited to, the following types of pipe segments, prestressed concrete cylinder pipe (pccp), ductile iron pipe (dip), cast iron pipe (cip), and steel sections. Excavation shall be required to expose pipe for forensic analysis. Pipe segments may be replaced with different segment material. ; mobilization, setup and/or removal of water dam in pipes, dewatering (internal and external), clearing and grubbing, installation of mulch access mat, stabilized construction entrance, silt fence, temporary fencing, removal and re-installation of existing fencing, maintenance of traffic, saw cutting and pavement removal, excavation, placement of graded aggregate base (gab), borrowing material for backfill as needed, restoration, milling and placement of asphalt.
