Washington County Departments of Roads

The Washington County Board of Supervisors convened for a meeting to discuss various topics including a property tax request from the Fort Calhoun Fire District, road department updates, and a contract with Fidlar Technologies. The board also discussed and tabled the approval of the Stanard Appraisal Services Agreement. Additionally, they accepted a contract from Eakes for Washington County offices printing services and received a jail revenue update from the Sheriff. The meeting also included committee reports and discussion of attorney contract renewals.

The Washington County Board of Equalization convened for a meeting where they approved the agenda and valuation changes as presented by the Assessor. The board adopted Resolution 2025-12, which set the levy of taxes for the 2025-2026 period. The levies for various political subdivisions were determined as shown in the attached exhibit.

The meeting included discussion and action on a conditional use permit request from Jeremiah Blomker to temporarily allow for two single-family residences during construction on property zoned A-1. Another conditional use permit request from Terry and Lori Stueckrath to temporarily allow for two single-family residences during construction on a property zoned A-1 was discussed and approved. Staff reported that the Richard Vacek small tract subdivision was approved at the August 12, 2025, meeting of the County Board of Supervisors.

The Washington County Board of Supervisors convened to discuss various topics including road department updates, conditional use permits for temporary dwellings, a contract with Fidlar Technologies, an update on the Disabled American Veterans vehicle, and an addendum to the Arlington & Ft Calhoun Law Enforcement Contract. The board also addressed the 2025-26 Washington County Budget, set the 2025-26 levy of taxes, and approved the Annual Certification of Program Compliance. Additionally, the board held a closed session to discuss attorney client privileged information and contract negotiations.

The Washington County Board of Equalization convened a regular session. The agenda for the current meeting was approved, and the minutes from the previous meeting were also approved. The board approved valuation changes and corrections as presented by the County Assessor.
