This Accessibility Plan serves as a guide for the J. Murrey Atkins Library's accessibility initiatives from 2022 to 2025, aiming to provide inclusive access to services, programming, spaces, and resources for all people. The plan focuses on several key areas: staff training and education, creating an internal information hub for accessibility content, offering programming for library employees, conducting assessments through student and staff surveys, enhancing website accessibility, developing accessible instruction and technology, and auditing the NinerCommons research hub. The overarching vision is to foster an accessible and inclusive environment that aligns with the university's commitment to individuals with disabilities.

This document describes the Charlotte Teacher Early College, a five-year program established in partnership with Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools and UNC Charlotte. The program aims to cultivate future educators by offering high school freshmen a pathway to a high school diploma, an advanced standing certificate in education, and 60 college course credits. The strategic objectives include providing early and extensive classroom exposure to enhance teacher retention and prepare students for successful, long-term careers in the teaching profession.
